My First Fashion Night Out

It is my First real week in Manhattan just to let you know I am still screaming inside. It all seems so surreal to me; My first main event was Fashion Night Out!! I must say it was AMAZING for me atleast. Although, I did not do what everyone else did which was shop I made sure I was able to have a good time. The First Event I headed to was the Macys Herald Square Event I was so anxious to meet Rachel Roy. Too bad my dreams were shattered by a $50 purchase I had to make in order to see her. So, still I waited just to get a chance to see her but I ended up having to leave because it was overcrowded and the security guy was acting vicious. While, I was at the event I noticed how everyone there had their own style. Never in my life did I ever see so much uniqueness. Where Im from, Im used to barbies and boys trying to be thugs but to see everyone in their own unique art form was fascinating. I understand why most people come here just to follow their dreams but there is not limit in this city. For instance, This DJ see was so into her Music she’s actually doing what she loves instead of sitting behind a desk all day she actually is standing behind the scratch board living to the sound of her own beat.

Fashion Night Out was Amazing! I ended up meeting this random woman on the escalator just as I was about to leave and she told me to go see her  bestfriend who was a stylist. So, in a instance I asked does he accept interns she quickly told me to head up stairs and mention her name to him. I was terrified heading up stairs to meet this stylist, first thought was to turn around but a new friend of mine Shari Driver told me I came to far so I headed near the stage and introduced myself. He turned out to be Amazing! Never met a more humble individual. The icing on the cake on such a wonderful night was the fact I met Arlenis Sosa. She is gorgeous and so kind hearted. I had to take a picture!

Well Please stay tuned as I walk you through my journey in the big apple as I follow my dreams to become a Fashion Stylist and Designer
